Kaydara's HumanIK plug-in for Discreet 3ds max software is now available for purchase through Turbo Squid's worldwide reseller channel.

Built on MOTIONBUILDER's production-proven technology, Kaydara's HumanIK gives 3ds max users greater control over their complex character animation projects. Feature highlights in HumanIK include:
Automatic Character Rigging - saves animators a significant amount of time when compared to manual rigging. Motion retargeting between HumanIK-based characters is simplified and allows animators to use diverse motion data in one, unified animation environment.
BodyGenerator - provides a powerful 3ds max script for the quick creation of human bone structures.
User Interface - is easily accessible and fully customizable.
Seamless Integration with the 3ds max environment - provides full support for all bone and object structures native to 3ds max software. Animators also benefit from compatibility with the 3ds max controller for procedural animations and function curves. Full access to MAXScript means tools can be easily customized. HumanIK also works in parallel with character studio� software, complementing the Physique� and Crowd components.
Finally, HumanIK includes support for all major motion capture formats (.bvh, .htr, .asf, .fbx). Consequently, users now have direct access to all of these file formats directly within the 3ds max environment, providing them with a start-to-finish pipeline until now unavailable in 3ds max.

HumanIK natively supports Kaydara's FBX file interchange format, a format for 3D data that allows MOTIONBUILDER users to quickly and easily acquire and exchange 3D assets and media from a wide variety of sources. HumanIK allows for direct import of mocap files through the FBX format, thus allowing animators to concentrate on the aesthetics of their creation's motion.
