In a recent Press Release, Splutterfish has announced that they will be demonstrating a 3dsmax plugin at Siggraph 2002 in San Antonio, based on Joe Alter's "Shave and a Haircut" hair grooming, dynamics, and rendering system.
So if you happen to be at Siggraph this year, stop by Discreet booth (#8062) from 3:00pm-4:00pm, July 23-25, where Splutterfish reps will demo Brazil r/s and Shave plugin for 3dsmax.
Shave and a Haircut for 3dsmax is scheduled for release in Q4 of 2002 and licensing will include free network-rendering, while other details (like pricing and distribution) will be announced at a later date.
