It's official! discreet has closed all European offices today, except for the UK. MAX3D.3DLuVr.com received a copy of an internal mail to discreet Germany's partners and authorized resellers earlier today:

We - known as the Discreet Germany Team would like to say "Auf Wiedersehen". It was a great time and pleasure to work with you all. If you like to stay in touch with us, just click on our names.
Meanwhile we also got official word on it from Dr. Johannes Friebe of discreet Germany:
�Yes, the office is going to be closed today. It's a great opportunity these days to save costs by concentrating our services all over Europe to one place [UK]. We've accomplished a 10 per cent sales increase in Germany alone, despite the economic crisis, and since we can register similar growth for discreet worldwide, the future development of 3ds max remains assured.
As an additional compensation, our German distributor "yello!" will join the 3ds max team. So our customers can still bank on our vast and reliable distribution network."
