The lighting is really simple actually. There are only two illuminating light sources in the scene - one yellow sun light from the right and a blue light from the front below. The sun light casts area shadows as soft shadows didn't look crisp enough with all the small objects.
At the bottom, behind the towers, I added some grey visible dust lights.
Since the scene still looked a bit empty in the background I had the idea to add power lines which recede into
the distance to give the scene more depth.
